Pineapple Fiber Fabric
Pineapple fiber has long been a traditional industry in the Philippines, where the fiber is extracted by hand called ""peña. It has a history of being a high quality material that was even treated as a royal gift. The machine technology we will develop in the future has the potential to produce very thin and beautiful fiber materials. By combining tradition with new technology, we will create new value and deliver new textile materials to the global fashion industry as ""farmers' textiles,"" which will reduce environmental impact while giving back to the producers. In addition, the residues from the fiber extraction process can be used as raw materials for bioplastics and paper materials.
