Kambara Suisan is a small seafood processing company with a store in Shiraoi-cho, Hokkaido, called Kojohama.

I am the third generation in the company, and I am committed to preserving the techniques of cod roe production established by my grandfather and father, and to delivering safe and new-found tastes, believing in what I have seen with my own eyes and felt with my own skin. Kojohama Tarako (cod roe), a registered regional trademark product, is a true regional treasure, produced by 30 companies in the Kojohama area of Shiraoi Town that have thoroughly refined their production techniques and quality control over the past 40 years since the 1960s. The best quality of Alaska Pollack roe comes in December. Migratory Alaska Pollack appear off the coast of Kojohama and provide us with a bounty every year.
