The company was founded in Motomachi, Kobe in 1873, five years
after the Port of Kobe was opened.
Starting with “KAWARA SENBEI,” our signature product since our founding, we have continued to
produce confections required by the times and explore new tastes while carrying on the tradition as
Kobe’s famous confectionery.
