Since its establishment, the company has now been succeeded by the fifth generation, and has produced
household goods that customers can use for many years (hand-knitted tea strainers, yudofu scoopers,
draining baskets, etc.), nets to keep pigeons away from temples and shrines, and nets for frames with the
symbol "Yama" on them, etc. Representative temples and shrines include Heian Shrine and Chion-in Temple
in Kyoto.
When the company was first established, it had a store in Matsubara-sagaru, Teramachi-dori, Shimogyo-ku,
Kyoto, where it has been in business for about 120 years, but about four years ago, it moved to its current
location, Yanagibaba Nishiiru, Takatsuji-dori, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto. In the new store, we wanted customers to
be able to see the manufacturing process, so we designed the store so that the entrance is made of glass and
the workshop can be seen from the outside, allowing customers to stop and watch the process.
