We carefully craft our tea using high-quality ingredients selected from vast tea fields. Moreover, as the sole facility in Saga Prefecture, we possess a unique large-scale freezer (-25 degrees Celsius) dedicated to tea, ensuring rigorous hygiene control. This allows us to maintain the quality of our products throughout the year, preserving them in optimal conditions. With the first and second factories dedicated to rough tea finishing, we handle in-house processing such as tea bag production, canning, and powdered tea processing.
Kawahara Tea Industry Co., Ltd. has been engaged in tea manufacturing in the Ureshino tea-producing region since 1914.

Description of Products for Trade Inquiry
Ureshino tea, produced in Saga Prefecture, is a rare type of tea known as Gyokuro tea throughout Japan. Unlike Sencha, it features less bitterness and a strong umami flavor. At Kawahara Tea Industry, we prioritize the freshness of tea leaves, meticulously crafting our teas and ensuring thorough quality and hygiene management in our dedicated large-scale frozen warehouse for green tea. This allows us to provide the quality of new tea harvested in spring throughout the year. Enjoy the rich and mellow umami spreading in your mouth.

Ureshino tea, produced in Saga and Nagasaki prefectures, is known as Gyokuro tea, making it a rare type of tea nationwide. During the early Edo period, when Japan was under a closed-door policy, this tea was the only one allowed for export overseas. Its unique form and production method, passed down since 1504 when the technique was taught by Ming China, remain the only tea of its kind. Additionally, the affluent Nagasaki merchant, Okura Kei, who supported the Meiji Restoration patriots, amassed wealth through Ureshino tea. Thus, Ureshino tea is deeply intertwined with Japan's history.
