In its early years, the company sold castella cakes, manju (sweet buns), and senbei (rice crackers) made from locally sourced wheat in Hyogo Prefecture. Following the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, in efforts to contribute to the town's reconstruction, Eirakudo began selling specialty seafood senbei using Akashi octopus. Since then, the company has expanded its offerings to include traditional Japanese sweets made from the natural blessings of Akashi, such as Akashi seaweed.
Eirakudo was founded in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, a land abundantly blessed with seafood.

Description of Products for Trade Inquiry
Akashi Takosen, using Akashi octopus, is seasoned with a sweet and savory special sauce, offering a dish with a satisfying and robust texture.

After the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, Akashi Takosen aimed for reconstruction alongside the city of Akashi. In order to promote the local specialty of Akashi's octopus, Akashi Takosen was established. Through trial and error, we dedicated ourselves to researching and perfecting the seasoning and texture with the desire to create a uniquely flavorful product. The result is the Akashi Takosen that is currently available for sale.
